Dell launches world’s first wireless charging laptop

Dell has launched -- what the company is claiming to be -- the world's first wireless charging laptop. Dubbed as Dell Latitude 7285, the 2-in-1 comes with wireless charging keyboard and charging mat.

Announced at CES in January 2017, this hybrid is now available in the US at a starting price of $1,199 -- it doesn't include the wireless charging keyboard or charging mat. The company is separately selling them at a price of $379.99 and $199.99, respectively.

Both the keyboard and the tablet have distinct batteries. Basically, the keyboard supports wireless charging for the tablet and there is no other way to separately charge the tablet. If you dock the tablet to the keyboard, the charging mat will first charge the tablet and then the keyboard.

The Dell Latitude 7285 hybrid comes with WiTricity magnetic resonance wireless charging capabilities that and WiGig docking.
